Apartment GuideWelcome to our guide for our Paphos apartment. Here you will find any extra information you may need to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Checkout Time In order for our cleaners to provide an efficient service we request that you vacate the apartment at 12 noon on the day of departure in accordance with the international hoteliers agreement (unless agreed otherwise). Keybox The 3 digit pin number for the keybox is changed on a regular basis. Ther are also two sets of keys in the apartment. Please replace the key in the box as soon as you have gained access to the apartment. You will need to enter the PIN number again to insert the key back in the box. Cooker The cooker will only work if you set the timer for the required amount of cooking minutes. Air Conditioning The air conditioning units all work from a remote control and full instructions are kept in the kitchen drawer. The air conditioning is on a meter and whilst normal use is included in the rental price of the apartment a charge will be made for inappropriate usage. This includes leaving the airconditioning on all day or while the apartment is unoccupied. Under no corcumstances should the airconditioning be used when the windows or doors are open. The units are very efficient and can cool a room within a few minutes. We recommend that in the summer it is better to open all the doors and keep the fans on. Window Blinds Please can you keep the side balcony blinds closed in the evening and early morning as the sun will damage the leather chair if this is not done. Sun Beds It is your responsibility to put the beds and covers away each day and lock the storeroom. Refrigerators Due to the different climate the fridges in Cyprus work differently to the UK. Please ensure that the setting is no more than 2 or 3. If it is set higher than theis the fridge may leak or stop working completely. Mini Fridge Please turn the storeroom mini-fridge off and leave the door open when you vacate the apartment. The setting on this should be no more than 2 or 3 Water The water is fine to drink and use for ice cubes. There is a seperate tap for drinking water. Hot Water The hot water system is solar powered. There is a seperate switch for the electric heating system for the winter months but this should never be used in the summer, as it will burn out the system. Electric Meter This is located on the ground floor. In the event of a power cut the switch will have tripped and will need to be turned back on. Smoking This is a no smoking apartment so please can you restrict smoking to outside. There are ashtrays provided. Linen Change There will be a weekly linen change if you are staying for 2 weeks or more. This will be done at 12 noon one week after arrival. Please do not remove any towels or linen from the apartment. We are happy to offer a daily linen change service for an additional charge. Your contact is Derek on 00357 99781150. Sky TV You will be able to view all of the free to air channels which include BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV, C4, C5 plus a selection of news and childrens channels. Always keep the sky card in the digibox and keep it switched on. BBC1 can only be viewed on channel 944. Type in 944 on the remote to select this channel. ITV has a better picture quality on ITV Anglia. To select this press the services button, then press 6, and select one of the ITV channels. Not all of the ITV regional channels work. In the event of a power cut or loss of signal please go through the following procedure: If ITV does not appear follow this procedure: Please remember that reception is being picked up from a UK satellite and that adverse weather conditions can, on occasion, affect the picture quality.
